Jai Bharath
It was the fifteen th of August . On this day several years ago , the British Government finally ended their rule over India and our country became free . Therefore we celebrate this day every year as the National Festival Day with joy and merry- making all over the country .
In the morning of this great day there is the flag-hoisting ceremony by the head of each state all over the country and singing our national anthem , Jana Gana Mana . The national flag
is hoisted at railway stations ,colleges , schools , post offices ,other public buildings and event at some business houses. parades and processions are held, and they make an exciting sight for people, especially for the children .
In the evening there are parties and entertainment in many homes. There are beautiful illuminations on many public building . crowds of people including go eagerly to see light .
Not only children ,even adults are happy on this day .After all we are celebrating the day when we became free.
for over two hundred years, British ruled over us.Our countrymen and women ,led by our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi , fought for this freedom and many of them suffered a lot. They were sent to jail;some were even killed. But they struggled and died so that we could be free.
Jai Hindh.
