జి.మార్కోని, యస్, బ్రాన్ మనకందరికూ మర్కొని చిరపరిచితుడే. తొలిసారిగా ఇటలీ దేశస్తుడైన మార్కొని (1874 – 1937) నిస్తంత్రీ విధానం (వైర్ లెస్ మెథడ్) ద్వారా ప్రసార సాధనమైన రేడియోను కనుగొన్నాడు. ఎలాంటి యానకం లేకుండా ఒక చోటి నుండి మరొక చోటికి వెళ్ళగలిగిన తరంగాలు కాంతి (విద్యుదయస్కాంత తరంగాల ద్వారా సాధ్యమవుతుందని మార్కొని గుర్తించాడు. తక్కువ తరంగా ధైర్ఘ్యము వున్న దృశ్య కాంతి కన్నా ఎక్కువ తరంగ ధైర్ఘ్యము వున్న రేడియో తరంగాలు ఇందుకు బాగా ఉపయోగపడతాయని మార్కొని కనుగొన్నాడు. అందుకే ఈ సాధనాన్ని రేడియో అని అంటారు.
ఆ రేడియోని మార్కొని కనుకున్నారు దీని వలన అప్పట్లో ఒకరినుండి ఒకరికి కమ్యునికేషనికి బాగాయూజ్ చేసేవారు. అప్పడు తయారు చేసిన రేడియో చాలా మార్పులు చెంది నేటి ఎఫెమ్ వరకు రూపు దిద్దుకుంది. అలాంటి రేడియోని తయారు చేసిన మార్కొని పుట్టినదినము నేడు . అతనికి భౌతికశాస్త్రములో నోభుల్ బహుమతి కూడావచ్చింది.మార్కోని పుట్టినరోజు నాడు అంత గొప్పమనిషినితలచుకోవటం గొప్పగా నేను ఫీల్ అవుతున్నాను.

Use an old milk jug for a birdhouse. Have an adult help cut a circle three inches in diameter out of the front of a clean one gallon milk packet-the side without the handle--using a craft knife. Use acrylic paint to decorate the outside of the milk jug birdhouse. Paint the milk jug to make it look like part of a tree or a comfortable place for a bird to make their home. Allow the milk jug birdhouse to dry and then hang from a tree with a length of twine from its handle.

ఉగాది తెలుగు వారి పండుగ ఈ పండుగ తో తెలుగువారికి కొత్త సంవత్సరం ప్రారంభమవుతుంది. ఈ పండుగనే సంవత్సరాధి అని కూడా అంటారు. ఈ సంవత్సరం పేరు వికృతి . దీనిని వికృతి నామసంవత్సరం అంటారు.
ఉగాది పండుగరోజు ఉదయమునే లేచి, తలంటు స్నానం చేసి కొత్తబట్టలు ధరిస్తారు. ఇంటిని మామిడితోరణాలతో పూలదండలతో అలంకరిస్తారు. పరగడుపున ఉగాది పచ్చడి తినటం ఈ పండుగ ప్రత్యేకత. ఈ పచ్చడిలో చేదు, పులుపు, ఉప్పు, తీపి , వగరు, కారం అనే ఆరు రుచులు వుంటాయి.
మరి పచ్చడి చెయడానికి వేప పూత, మామిడి, ఉప్పు, బెల్లం, కారం, చింతపండు వేసి పచ్చడి తయారుచేస్తారు.
ఈ పచ్చడి జీవితంలో మనకు కలిగే తీపి లాంటి సుఖాలను, చేదులాంటి కష్టాలను,సమానంగా అనుభవించాలని తెలుపుతుంది. ఈ పచ్చడి తినడం ఆరోగ్యానికి కూడా మంచిది.
ఈపచ్చడి వసంతలక్ష్మి కి నైవేద్యంపెట్టి అందరు స్వీకరించి కొత్త సంవత్సరానికి సంతోషంగా ఆహ్వానిస్తారు.
